The Van Meter Public Library Foundation is an independent, philanthropic organization established in 2017 by volunteers from the the Van Meter community.
Its stated purpose is to raise money to enhance the Van Meter Library and programming it has to offer all children, teens and adults of our community.
The Foundation’s fund-raising efforts are supported through contributions from individuals and businesses in the community.
As a 501(c)(3) corporation, charitable donations are considered tax deductible by the Internal Revenue Service. Foundation funds are not used to replace or supplant public funding.
The Van Meter Public Library's strategic plan is to construct a new library building, replacing the current space in use since 1980.
